Jurong Bird Park

The Jurong Bird Park – the largest bird park in the world.  It is kinda far from everything, but there are so many species of birds there that it’s definitely worth seeing if you have half a day to spare.

Unfortunately for us, this was one of the days when it was forecast to rain.  But we only had 4 days for the whole of Singapore, so what could we do?  There were a few showers and one huge thunderstorm during the day, so in the end we weren’t able to get too many photos, but we got to see many more birds than are shown here.

Halfway thru, there was this lizard in the middle of the road, with a dragonfly stuck in its mouth.  It didn’t move at all as groups of us took pictures all around it.  We spent about 5min around it, but even when we left it hadn’t moved an inch!
