Valent Lau Photography continues our Sydney portrait photography and interview with lovely Ardella as the carefree book loving Belle from Beauty and the Beast. For this we had a choice of different outfits for Belle from different parts of the the story. We went with the simpler earlier dress as a village girl. To match the them we went to Sydney Olympic Park near Homebush for a Bicentennial Park portrait photography session. There was a quiet grassy area that was perfect for depicting Belle outside her village, maybe out on an errand with her favorite book.
This is the second part of a three part series. If you missed it, here is the first part.
With Animania only a week away Valent Lau Photography met up with Sydney cosplayer Ardella Cosplay for a Sydney Portrait Photography session and to chat about all things cosplay for an upcoming article in The ONE Magazine. If you’ve been to Animania, SMASH!, or Supanova in the past couple of years, chances are you have seen and been awed by one of Ardella’s many costumes! I am truly honored to be able to shoot her for this series.
We settled for some Sydney Olympic Park photography in Inner West Sydney for its wide range of photography locations and its close proximity to Homebush and Strathfield for sustenance! So close to the city and yet totally immersed in nature.
Here is our first Sydney portrait session with the amazing Ardella as Sleeping Beauty’s Princess Aurora, in the first of a three part series. We went to Bicentennial park to find a section of the hills which could look like somewhere deep in the woods, as per Sleeping Beauty’s castle in the woods. We were lucky to find just the right place for it.
Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo 2012. Never before have I seen so many spray tanning products under the same roof! Of course there was also makeup, nail art, cosmetic dentistry, and a little bit of hair.
Last year was my first Supanova, and I really had my hopes up for this year. When it started raining cats and dogs on Saturday, I was really worried. Luckily it was clear on Sunday, and it seems both day’s worth of people turned up at once!
