Sydney Bridal Expo 2012

The Sydney Bridal Expo 2012 was held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. There was a parade with some great wedding and evening dresses from various designers, here are a few highlights!

The Taobao 2012 Model Search Mega Show. A bunch of celebrities from HK and Taiwan performed on the night, including Hailey C & Annie G (MonsterBeez), Rika V & Hidy Yu (OctoBeez), Jeana Ho, Gary Chow, Kary Ng, and Endy Chow.

Suzie Q and Toby J, aka Allure, performed their trapeze act at the Sydney Bridal Expo. I would never have guessed but they perform a lot at weddings apparently!

Review: Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel & The Metropolis Harbour View Chinese Cuisine

It is rare that I would stay at a hotel for long enough to make a meaningful judgement, but on this occasion I stayed at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel in Hung Hom, Hong Kong for 23 days. I will be reviewing as a parent with a 5 month old baby, since the hotel is supposed to be baby friendly and provides cots for free. As you will see what we expect from a 5 star hotel in Australia may be vastly different to what we can expect from a (reportedly) 5 star hotel in Hong Kong.

Animania アニマニア mini 2012

Another year of Animania and I was glad to see so many familiar faces out there (in great new cosplay)! I arrived a bit after 2pm and the first thing security said to me was “You’re so late”! I’ll try to be earlier for the main event in September!
