Sunrise by the Sea

This year, someone managed to trick me into watching the sunrise at Bondi.  For some reason there’s a lot of hype around sunrise at the sculptures this year.

We went on the last day, and there really weren’t that many people there.  The sun looked smaller than I imagined, and not very spectacular with all the clouds in the way.

I set up my position and took a million (okay 400) shots of the sun rising, only to realise they all look quite the same given the sun doesn’t move that quickly.  Trimming all that down to 10 shots was quite a task!

Maybe I should have gone around more sculptures instead of camping at one…

Some of these photos were published in an article in The ONE Magazine, December 2010 Issue. The ONE is a Chinese & Japanese bilingual magazine with distribution in Sydney and Melbourne.
